Save Our Sons Gala Dinner
Boasting of a star-studded list of celebrities, magical entertainment and lavish style, this year’s annual Save Our Sons (SOS) Gala Dinner brought a ‘Vintage Circus’ to life in Sydney’s Luna Park. SOS, an Australian-based charity raising funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), worked alongside our Event Team to create an atmosphere in which guests could immerse themselves in the magnificent world of cabaret, theatre, burlesque and cirque. The evening of entertainment began with a number of aerial routines and acrobatics, followed by magician, Cosentino, who kept guests on the edges of their seats, and The Ringmaster, who entertained the night away with his showmanship! Guests were also treated to a performance of the number one hit, “Wings”, by award-winning Delta Goodrem. Alongside the extravagant entertainment, eye-catching ceiling installations and a 12-metre visual screen brought the room to life!
However extravagant the 800 guests’ experience was, the evening’s purpose was never forgotten: to raise funds for children suffering from DMD. The evening featured an impressive list of celebrity guests and Save Our Sons ambassadors, including Amanda Keller, Brendan Jones, Ada Nicodemou, Lyn McGranger, Jeff Fenech, Erin Molan, Mark Geyer and Gus Worland, who donated a lunch with Hugh Jackman in the USA. In combination with this, raffle tickets, silent auction and live auction item sales by auctioneer Joel Caine, the event raised over $250,000 towards finding a cure. Our Video Productions Team also worked on raising money and awareness by creating a short documentary for SOS and their cause.
It was a night of entertainment, purpose and awareness; and we look forward to hosting the annual SOS event again in 2016!
