SCOPE PRODUCTIONS NAMED ‘BEST EVENT MANAGEMENT COMPANY’

After a stellar array of high-end productions in 2025, Scope has been awarded Best Event Management Company in the Spice Magazine Hot 100 Services and Suppliers Awards – for the tenth time!

Which makes you think. What does it take to be the ‘best’ in this sector? We know awards are not made in one night: they are the culmination of thousands of tiny elements curated into a vision and deployed to acclaim, again and again, a hundred decisions no one sees, and a team of experts who are experts for a reason.

We decided to list the things it takes to be best:

An unfinished brief

The best brief is the one the client hasn’t finished writing yet, because it lets us work with you collaboratively as a team. And that’s where the gold lies. We get to define what success looks like to your Board, your guests, your VIPs before an idea is formulated, and create a vision from the ground up with expertise embedded at its core.

Sweat the small stuff

Contrary to the adage, the small stuff is worth sweating over: load dock heights, ceiling rigging points, where the light falls at 4pm, which corner kills a microphone. Our reputation is built on the details that only reveal themselves the tenth time you work a space.

Hearts and minds… and bodies

A concept that delivers the ultimate insta moment but leaves people queuing, squinting or shouting over each other is a failure. Every part of the design and activation of a space has to be tested against the question: how does this feel to stand in?

The run sheet is king

Not a formality filed a week out, but the spine of the event, versioned, shared, understood by every supplier, and flexible enough to absorb the thing that always changes.

Respect and fair pay

The best events are collaborations, and long-term supplier relationships that are fair and respectful are what get you a favour at 6am when you desperately need one.

Rehearsing the unglamorous parts

Speaker changeovers. Vision cues. The walk from table to stage. Confidence on the night comes from having already done it twice in an empty room.

Troubleshooting on the quiet and hidden in a corner

The measure of a good event producer isn’t how well they handle a crisis in front of a client – it’s how few crises are divulged.

Live capture

An event exists for just a few hours, despite the months and months invested in it. Filmed properly, it becomes a highlight reel, a speaker library, a sizzle for next year and a season of social content. The best operators plan the content strategy before the doors open, not after. And at SCOPE, we excel at video capture and production.

An honest debrief

What ran long, what underdelivered, what we’d never do again. Our success over the last 30 years comes from writing down the uncomfortable answers and acting on them.

You’re only as good as your last show

An award is a snapshot, not a status. The clients and venues who voted for us did so because of the last event, which means the next one is the only one that counts.
