Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Scope Productions website
www.scopeproductions.com.au (the “Website”) and, where applicable, our video production and events
management services (the “Services”). By accessing the Website or engaging our Services, you agree to be
bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website or engage our Services.

For details on how we handle personal information, please see our separate Privacy Policy.

2. About Our Services

Scope Productions provides events management and video production services, including but not limited to:

  • Event planning, coordination, and on-the-day management
  • Corporate and commercial video production
  • Filming, editing, and post-production services

Specific project scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing for individual engagements are set out in a separate signed quote, proposal, or service agreement between Scope Productions and the client. These website Terms apply generally to your use of the site and our services, but do not replace or override the specific terms of any signed project agreement, which take precedence in the event of a conflict.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Our Content

All content on this Website — including text, images, videos, case studies, graphics, logos, and design — is
owned by or licensed to Scope Productions and is protected by Australian and international copyright and
intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use this content without our prior
written consent, except for personal, non-commercial viewing.

3.2 Project Deliverables and Footage

Ownership and usage rights over footage, edited video, photography, and other deliverables produced as part of
a client engagement (e.g. who owns the raw footage, who can use the final edit, and for what purposes) are
governed by the specific service agreement or contract for that project, not by these general website Terms.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Scope Productions retains the right to use project outcomes (e.g. edited highlight reels, photography) for our own portfolio, marketing, and case studies on this Website and elsewhere.
  • Clients should raise any confidentiality or non-disclosure requirements before a project begins so they can be reflected in the signed agreement.

3.3 Testimonials and Case Studies

Unless a client advises us otherwise, we may feature client names, testimonials, logos, and project outcomes on
our Website as case studies or portfolio pieces. Clients who do not wish to be featured should notify us in
writing, and we will remove or withhold their material accordingly.

4. Acceptable Use of the Website

When using this Website, you agree not to:

  • Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, our systems, or related networks
  • Upload or transmit any viruses, malicious code, or harmful material
  • Scrape, copy, or republish substantial content from the Website without permission

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Website for anyone who breaches these Terms.

5. Enquiries, Quotes, and Bookings

  • Submitting an enquiry or contact form does not constitute a binding booking or contract.
  • A booking is only confirmed once a formal quote or proposal has been accepted in writing (e.g. by signed agreement, deposit payment, or confirmed email) by both parties.
  • Pricing provided on the Website (if any) is indicative only and subject to change based on the specificscope of your event or production.

6. Payments

  • Payment terms (deposits, milestones, final payment) will be set out in your individual quote or service agreement.
  • Late payments may incur interest or additional fees as specified in your project agreement.
  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Given the nature of event and video production work, cancellation and rescheduling terms (including any
applicable fees, notice periods, or non-refundable deposits) will be set out in your specific service agreement, as
these can vary significantly depending on the size and lead time of a project. As a general position:

  • Cancellations made with insufficient notice may forfeit part or all of a deposit, to cover costs already committed (e.g. crew bookings, venue holds, equipment hire).
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

8. Force Majeure

Scope Productions will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our Services due to circumstances
beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, venue closures,
government restrictions, illness, or other unforeseeable events. Where reasonably possible, we will work with
clients to reschedule or adjust affected engagements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Scope Productions makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of information on this Website, including case studies, past results, or testimonials.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Website or our Services.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees under the Australian
  • Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to obtain any necessary consents, releases, or permissions from their own staff, personnel, or event attendees prior to filming or production. Scope Productions accepts no liability for any legal claims, disputes, or issues arising from the inclusion of a client’s staff, personnel, or attendees in any production, footage, or content, including claims relating to consent, image rights, or employment matters.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. social media, partner venues, vendors). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party sites and encourage you to review their own terms and policies.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
