Jim Barry Wines wanted to capture the family story behind one of Clare Valley’s most respected wine producers, a multi-generational tale spanning vineyard beginnings in the 1960s through to the next generation now running the business.
Scope Productions travelled to South Australia to produce the film, commissioned by the team from The Meat and Wine Co as a collaboration between the two brands. We managed the entire production from the ground up: on-location filming at the family’s original vineyard, sit-down interviews with family members, drone footage capturing the Clare Valley landscape, scripting, and full post-production editing.
The result is an intimate, authentic piece, built around unscripted family reflections rather than polished marketing lines. It traces the journey from hand-watering vines during the 1969 drought to building an internationally recognised wine label.
This short-form brand film gives Jim Barry Wines a genuine, story-led asset for their website and marketing, capturing family legacy, trust between generations, and the human side of winemaking brought to life through this collaboration.
